The information below can help with planning. The packages are meant to give you inspiration, can be what we build upon, or we can start your itinerary from scratch! If visiting Tanzania is part of a larger trip planned throughout Africa, we recommend at least 3 days (3-4 nights) and as many as…well, as many days as you would like!

- Flights between all destinations within the itinerary can be arranged instead of driving. Your guide will meet you at each airstrip upon arrival
- Any destination within the itinerary can be modified (extended, shortened) as requested; itinerary can also be reversed if desired

Safari Itinerary
Day 1
Morning (Arrival): Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Your pre-arranged transfer will take you to your accommodation in Arusha Town (approx. 1-hour drive).
Afternoon: After settling in, embark on a guided walking tour of Arusha.
Visit the Central Market (Soko Kuu): Immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere, observe local trade, and perhaps sample some local fruits.
Explore the Maasai Market: Browse vibrant crafts, jewelry, and traditional clothing made by Maasai artisans. Remember to haggle respectfully!
Visit the Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre: Discover Tanzanian art, crafts, and learn about the country's diverse cultures.
Evening: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in Arusha, perhaps trying some Tanzanian cuisine like nyama choma (grilled meat) or ugali (stiff maize porridge).
Day 2
Morning: After breakfast, depart from Arusha for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approx. 3-4 hour drive). Enjoy the scenic drive through local villages and coffee plantations.
Late Morning: Descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a natural wonder teeming with wildlife.
Afternoon: Spend the entire afternoon on an exhilarating game drive within the crater floor. The crater is home to a high concentration of animals, including the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo), zebras, wildebeests, various antelope species, and a plethora of birdlife.
Evening: Ascend from the crater and check into your lodge or campsite located on the crater rim or in the nearby Karatu area. Enjoy dinner with breathtaking views (if on the rim).
Day 3
Morning: After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2-3 hour drive). Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and diverse landscapes.
Full Day: Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Tarangire National Park. Explore the Tarangire River, which acts as a lifeline for the park's wildlife, especially during the dry season. You'll have excellent opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, various antelope species, and predators like lions and leopards. Birdwatching is also fantastic here.
Evening: Return to your accommodation near Tarangire or drive back towards Arusha for an overnight stay depending on your preference and flight schedule for the next day.
Day 4
Morning: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have time for some last-minute souvenir shopping in Arusha.
Transfer: Your pre-arranged transfer will take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure.
